EEO Changes Effective September 2007

There is a big change taking effect in September with the EEO reporting requirements.  The change affects all companies reporting annually to the EEOC (required for companies with 100 or more employees). These employers, including Federal contractors are required to collect and report data about the racial, ethnic, and gender composition of their workforces on a revised Standard Form 100, Employer Information Report EEO-1. The revised EEO-1 report must be filed for the first time in calendar year 2007 by September 30, 2007.

Sage Abra HRMS Users:  Processing Payroll Timesheets for Employees With Automatic Labor Allocations.  Why aren't pay increases reflected on the Trial Payroll?

This could happen for one of two reasons: 1) employee’s previous pay change was not also changed in the Labor Allocations, or 2) the Charge Date in the Time Sheet is prior to the employee’s Pay Effective Date only if you own the Abra HR module. Click here for full instructions.

Sage MAS 90 and 200 Users: Reconcile Stock Status and Inventory Valuation Report  

The Stock Status report and Inventory Valuation report generate information from two different files. The warehouse detail file (IM2) is the source for the Stock Status report. This file contains only summary balances of the inventory inquiries that are on-hand. The item cost detail file (IM3) is the source for the Inventory Valuation report. This file contains detailed cost tier entries for each inventory item receipt (no entries are made to the IM3 for average cost or standard cost items). Any form of data corruptions to either one or both of these files may cause quantity on-hand information to be inaccurate or inconsistent. This utility can be used when the inventory quantities on-hand reflected on the Stock Status do not agree with the quantities on-hand reflected on the Inventory Valuation report. Learn more…
